Enzo and Rossi playing

Play seems to be happening more frequently now. Rossi will chew Enzo's ear until he gives in and plays with him.

Enzo and his mini-me

Rossi loves Enzo and follows him everywhere. It's hard to tell them apart at a glance!

A Summer Evening

Here's a few photos of an evening walk with both of them. Enzo only had his staples out a few days ago, so he still has a scar and the hair on his leg hasn't grown back yet. It doesn't stop him enjoying himself though.

Spot the dogs! Can you see which is which? The ears are a giveaway.

Rossi doing 'zoomies' in the long grass, while Enzo stops for a rest. I don't know why long grass has that effect on Rossi!

Waiting patiently

Rossi would much rather let Enzo do the work. So he hangs around on the bank.

And waits for the right moment...

Then nabs the dummy!

Or chews Enzo's ear to make him let go!

Splish splash splosh

We haven't managed to get Rossi swimming yet, but he did wade in after Enzo. This was the first time he has gone in the water willingly.

Enzo and Rossi

Enzo wasn't keen on the new addition and hated Rossi from the minute he came home. This was partly down to his injury and feeling vulnerable and partly because Rossi was small and moved too fast!

As Enzo's health has improved and we have been able to get them out together, he is slowly accepting Rossi and will even honour him with a play session out on a walk or in the garden occasionally!

At last!

At last Enzo has had his staples out and can go back to life as a Weim knows it! The last few months have been horrendous for him and us and now we can all start enjoying life again. Walks with his little bruv are going well and Enzo will honour Rossi with a play session every now and again as long as there are no squirrels around to occupy him. Rossi will follow Enzo to investigate squirrel movement, but hasn't a clue why he is there!

This is a picture of Enzo's last operation site where he had the pins removed. As you can see, the original operation scar is fading already and once the hair grows back I doubt it will be visible at all.

Enzo update - July

Enzo had his pins taken out this week so now has another scar and a row of staples. The staples will be removed in 10 days and then it will really be over and he can do all the things he used to do. I just hope he is less enthusiastic about finding squirrels!

We are at the final hurdle!
